Having organized and facilitated 14 years of keynote addresses, I know the good, the not so good and the great. The great are able to emotionally connect with the audience and adapt and deliver a keynote specifically aligned with the core values of the host sponsor and incorporate those values in the address. Darrin’s ability to deliver on these key all elements of a successful keynote ranks him in the top tier.
I wholeheartedly endorse and admire his ability and would not hesitate to bring him back!

We had Darrin come to our Emerging Leaders meeting to discuss what it means to be a good leader. The content he presented, both researched and personal experience, was very well thought out and presented in an energetic way that kept everyone engaged and interested.
I would absolutely recommend Darrin for any speaking engagement and will reach out to him again for future presentations.

"I have taught nearly 70,000 undergraduates during my career. During this time, I have had a number of guest speakers. Darrin Schenck is one of the best guest speakers of them all. He knows how to engage students in classes from small to large. He connects with students in a manner that engages them and makes them want to learn. Darrin prepares in advance to know his audience and his preparation clearly shows during his guest presentations. In short, Darrin had made my classes better with his presence. "

"Ensuring that our students have the best education possible and to properly prepare them for their future careers requires that we here at W.P. Carey School of Business introduce them to real-world topics in real time. One way that we do so at the business school is by inviting knowledgeable guest speakers into our classes that can add to the educational experience and further help students prepare for the challenges of finding a job and creating a good career for themselves. Mr. Darrin Schenck is game changer in that respect and I would like to thank him for taking the time to meet with my undergraduate students and share his knowledge about job exploration and interviewing in a very timely, relevant, and direct way that will absolutely prove useful in their future careers.
Please know that meeting with our students here at the W. P. Carey School really makes a difference, it makes business personal by building ties and reinforcing relationships with the business community that are so vital to the success of our school and students. Thank you again for getting involved and I look forward to continuing collaborating with you in the future."

"I recently had the opportunity to watch Darrin do a virtual talk with the Business Clubs of America here in Phoenix and was moved by his story. Darrin shared some personal experiences about his life, a potentially deadly car crash, and how this incident changed his perspective on life. He took us on a roller coaster ride of emotions at times and left us with some solid and actionable takeaways that it seems the group as a whole really benefitted from. I really appreciated the experiences and wisdom he shared with our group, in talking to the other members they felt the same way, the talk was empowering and I recommend him as a guest speaker or consultant to other companies as well."

As a recurring guest lecturer for two of the most prestigious business schools in the country, I enjoy helping prepare the next generation of professionals to get ready for the real world before they arrive there. By setting realistic expectations, giving them insight on how to round out their university education with other applicable skills, they will be leaving school more prepared than their peers.
In addition to Public Speaking to large groups of students, I also do one on one mentoring and coaching sessions as well. Many of the topics I discuss open up new lines of thinking for the students, and more detail is sought in these individual Zoom sessions. This one-on-one approach allows me to customize the guidance I provide.
March 8th, 2015 was a morning I will never forget...it changed my life in several different ways.
I was hit head-on by a wrong way drunk driver on the freeway at a very high rate of speed. His BAC was 3 times the legal limit, and the closest bar was 12 miles away. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time...
Or was I? I walked away from this crash with barely a scratch, but the overall impact of this (no pun intended) was life-altering to say the least. Maybe this "hit" was just the wake up call I needed.
Prior to this time of my life, I was a Pro Racquetball player and I lived as a disciplined athlete with a regimented schedule and a list of goals to accomplish. But after retiring from that world I slowly reverted back to being, for lack of a better description, a regular person. I got up in the morning, I went to work, I ate and I went to sleep...wash rinse, repeat. Without realizing it, I had lost my desire to achieve and my ability to dive into things and figure them out along the way.
It was a long car ride home once my Dad came to pick me up. I sat there in silence, reviewing what just occurred and how fortunate I was to walk away with my life still intact. Clearly I had dodged a bullet, so the looming question for me was: NOW WHAT? What I am going to do with this time i have been granted? The answer came fairly quickly to me, as I had always been interested in Public Speaking but had never really pursued it.
And the rest, as they say, it academic...
My sales philosophy is simple:
"You are not closing a sale, you are opening a relationship"
Sales is an artform, and a client-first approach is crucial to real success and long-lasting business relationships. Unfortunately there is a wide spectrum of approaches, and some are downright painful to listen to or observe. There are plenty of sales people out there give the real professionals a bad name.
Account Management is the lifeblood of the company, as it supports the clients and keeps all f the sales teams effort to generate revenue flowing. Constant churn of your client base is just spinning your wheels, and profitability will continue to elude your company. Sharing over 20 years of my experience will make the goals of client retention and satisfaction a reality.
